Peter Rowland is a silversmith based in the Highlands of Scotland, creating bespoke silverware and jewellery. Peter works in a range of materials alongside precious metals, such as antler and heather-wood, reflecting the landscape in which he works.
Working both on a commission-basis and on personal works, Peter is experienced in a range of techniques, particularly the ancient Japanese art of mokume gane (literally "gold wood grain"), the Korean technique of keum-boo (meaning "attached gold"), as well as hand-cutting the sustainably-sourced leather to accompany his belt-buckles.

Repairwork: A firm believer in the renewal of heirlooms, Peter has worked with many clients to give precious possessions a new lease of life, from resizing a ring to creating a new piece from preloved materials;
Consultation: Having worked with a range of materials and techniques throughout his 30+ year career, Peter can provide insight into the origins of a piece, as well as advice on the suitability of period pieces for screen and stage.
